About & Getting Here

*Because Addison County COVID-19 transmission levels are currently high, the CDC recommends wearing a mask when indoors.

The Vermont Walk/Bike Summit is an excellent opportunity to connect with community members, employers, planners and researchers from throughout the state for in-depth sharing on current efforts, new ideas, and networking to advance more livable communities.

This year’s Summit will include interactive demo workshops, peer exchanges, a highly-acclaimed keynote, and a variety of dynamic presentations and topics including advocacy and education, safe and healthy communities, economic development, and the built environment.

Driving

Parking in downtown Middlebury is extremely limited so please use one of two available remote parking options:

a) Middlebury’s Memorial Sports Arena, or

b) The American Legion Building LOWER parking lot, located off Rt. 7 South.

The Memorial Sports Arena lot is walkable to the Town Hall Theater, and here’s a map:

The second option is the LOWER parking lot at the American Legion Building, located at 49 Wilson Road, just off Rt. 7 South in Middlebury.  This lot is also located behind G. Stone Motors, which fronts on Rt. 7.  Please see the map below; you may also click the link on the map that says “Directions”, and you can enter your starting point to get turn-by-turn directions to the parking lot.

Then, from the American Legion LOWER parking lot, you may take the Tri-Valley Transit (TVT) bus into downtown Middlebury. Click here for an up-to-date schedule with pick-up times and location.

In addition, it’s an easy bike ride from the American Legion LOWER parking lot into downtown Middlebury, and supervised bike parking will be available on the town green directly across from the main venue for the conference, which is the Town Hall Theater.
